“LICHTSPIELE” is a book about selected exceptional movie theaters in Germany with interviews of their owners, cinema operatiors and a bunch of real film nutcases, pictures of the filmtheaters and infographics about the cinemy history.

From the oldest cinema worldwide via Drive-In’s through to ta movie theater where the filmposters ar all hand-drawn: Cinemas which are very special in their own way.

Some dirt of the analog film appears on the left side (the amount depends on the age of the cinema) of the title pages of the several cinemas. Digital Errors, glitches apears on the right side (if the movie theater changed to a digital projector al that time).

Orignally as a custom-type for the quotes in the book, a typeface called  “LICHTSPIELE” inspired by the cinemas of the 20’s as well was released eventually a year later.

Corporate Design and packaging for Bach’s, a small southern german brewery founded in 2009.

Delivering bars and festivals with their handcrafted beers, in 2018 they decided to go the next step and bring their sustainable range of beers to the retailers together with a new design.
